Q: How do I order a building?
A: Easy! Just come by our lot in McDonough, GA or call us at 855-996-0500. We place orders over the phone or in person.

Q: How long will it be until I receive my building?
A: Portable Buildings: Our delivery department will always call in advance to set up your exact delivery date. Inventory buildings take about 10-12 business days on average to deliver. If you’ve ordered a custom building to be built it takes about 6-8 weeks. Speak to your dealer to make sure this is still accurate.
Metal Structures & Pole Barns: Delivery and setup for these types of buildings usually takes 4 – 6 weeks and you will be contacted by the manufacturer to set up a delivery date. Speak to your dealer to make sure this is still accurate.

Q: What do I need in order to be ready for my building delivery?
A: Portable Buildings: We recommend purchasing 4in x 8in x 16in “cap blocks” from Lowe’s or Home Depot for us to level the building upon. They are usually less than $2 each. Also make sure that you have a clear path leading to the building’s final setup location.
Metal Structures: These can be installed onto grass, dirt, asphalt, concrete pads, or gravel as long as the area is level within 4 inches all around.
Pole Barns: These are more forgiving in terms of the ground needing to be level. It is best to have the ground as flat as possible but alterations are easier to do on-site during construction for the buildings.
Q: How can they bring a building through my fence?
A: Portable Buildings: If your fence’s gate is not wide enough then a section of the fence will need to be temporarily removed. This is a common issue and about 40%-50% of our customers require this service. We can recommend fencing companies if you are looking for suggestions.
Metal Structures & Pole Barns: The gate for your fence needs to be wide enough for the installers to bring in materials. If the install location is far from the gate, then the gate needs to be wide enough for a large truck and flatbed trailer to come through and get closer to where the building will be installed.

Q: Do I need a building permit for my building?
A: Portable Buildings: No. The state of Georgia does not require building permits or ground-penetration permits for portable buildings.
Metal Structures & Pole Barns: You may check with your county or city, however, Georgia Yard Barns does not require permits or county-permission to install a building.
